Man Accused Of Threatening Cecil Supervisor Candidate Agrees To Anger Management Classes

The Cecil man accused by township police of threatening a candidate for supervisor will undergo anger management classes.

Merle E. Williams, of Reissing Road, appeared before district Judge Valarie Costanzo on Wednesday for his preliminary hearing.

At that time it was announced that an agreement had been struck with the candidate, Cindy Fisher.

Williams agreed to attend the anger management classes over a 16-week period.

Upon completion of the classes, a misdemeanor charge of making terroristic threats will be dismissed, Costanzo said.

Another condition of the agreement is that Williams may not directly-or through a third party-contact Fisher.

Fisher on May 5 received a voicemail from an unnamed caller telling her that she would need an ambulance the next time she went knocking on doors during the campaign.

A search warrant was obtained by police, and the number associated with the call came from the address at which Williams resides. Police said he admitted to officers that he had left the message.
