Manhunt Underway After Pa. State Trooper Killed in Ambush
A second Pennsylvania State Trooper was wounded in the shooting late Friday night.

A multi-state manhunt is underway Saturday morning after a Pennsylvania State Trooper was shot and killed during what is being described as an ambush at police barracks.
Two state troopers were shot around 11 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, during a shift change at the State Police barracks near Blooming Grove, USA Today said. The shooting is being described by authorities as an ambush.

Blooming Grove is in Pike County, about 35 miles east of Scranton, USA Today said.
The names of the troopers who were shot have not been released, but State Police Commissioner Frank Noonan said that the trooper who survived the shooting underwent surgery and is in stable condition at Geisinger Medical Center in Scranton, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

A person of interest is being questioned, The Times-Tribune said. That man, Jeffrey Hudak, has not been charged with any crime, USA Today said.
Law-enforcement officials from around Pennsylvania, as well as those from New Jersey and New York, are assisting in the search and investigation, The Times-Tribune said.
