Meadows Casino Guests Raise More than $3000 for City Mission
Patrons donated slot vouchers, table chips, and cash from the machines over a three-month period.

The guests of The Meadows Casino have provided City Mission of Western Pennsylvania with a significant contribution, based on the recent collection of financial donations.
The Meadows Casino presented a check for $3,704.33 to City Mission as a result of the donations offered by guests over a 3-month period. Patrons were able to donate their TITO tickets (slot vouchers), table chips and cash from the machines into three designated charity boxes located at all of the casino entrances.
“Even in this current economy, I am amazed by the generosity displayed by our neighbors in this region,” said Dean Gartland, president & CEO of City Mission. “This donation will go a long way in providing the necessary goods and services to the homeless, poor, and needy of Western Pennsylvania.”

The Charity Box program is one of many initiatives the casino undertakes throughout the year. Initiated earlier this year, the program continues in 3-month periods and allows guest the chance to support various organizations. Currently, donations are being accepted for the Washington County Food Bank. The Washington County Women’s Shelter and The Washington Area Humane Society are also included in the program.
The Meadows Casino fosters an environment of giving back,” said Sean Sullivan, general manager and vice president of The Meadows Casino. “Our guests have embraced this philosophy and continue to remain committed to those less fortunate in our community.”
