North Strabane Man Accused of Indecent Assault, Corruption of Minors to Stand Trial

A North Strabane Township man will stand trial on charges including endangering the welfare of children, corruption of minors and three counts of indecent assault of a person younger than 13.

District Judge Jay Weller held Richard George Crowley, 61, for trial on all charges after a preliminary hearing Monday.

The charges date back to June 1, 2012 and were filed April 15 by North Strabane Township police.

All of the charges are felonies.

According to the Observer-Reporter, Crowely is accused of inappropriate contact with a 7-year-old girl.

The Observer-Reporter indicated that Crowley was ordered to have no contact with children while awaiting trial.
