Notebook: More Townhouses Planned for North Strabane
Here are five decisions made by the North Strabane Township Board of Supervisors this week that you need to know about.

A new townhouse development has been proposed in North Strabane Township—and its site plan was approved by supervisors Tuesday.Â
But that was just one of many votes taken. Here are five things you need to know from the meeting:
1. Supervisors unanimously approved the site plan for the proposed development—Bridgeview Townhouses. The development would include 37 townhouse units off Chesnic Drive.Â
2. Supervisors approved a site plan for Kilkeary Auto Body. The company plans to build an accessory building on Thomas Road.
3. The board unanimously voted to extend the mutual aid agreement for fire services with Peters Township to April 1, 2014. The agreement will automatically renew annually.
4. Supervisors said they are mulling dates to meet publicly with Peters Township to discuss the results of a study examining the feasibility of joint fire services. The date will be announced. To read background on the study, click here.
5. Supervisors voted to donate $500 to the Greater Washington County Food Bank. Supervisor Sonia Stopperich said that donation equals one pallet of food.Â
