Oldies Concert Lineup Announced
A Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee will be in town.
The Toys featuring Barbara Harris, Terry Sylvester (formerly of the Hollies and the Holidays) will be the featured acts at the annual Fraternal Order of Police Oldies Show at Canon-McMillan High School Sunday, April 28.
Sylvester was a member of the Hollies beginning in 1969, scoring hits with songs such as “Sorry Suzanne,” “He Ain’t Heavy," and “Air That I Breathe.” He was also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Hollies.
The Toys were an early ‘60s female trio that scored two major hits in 1965 and 1966 with “Lover’s Concerto” and “Attack.” "Lover’s Concerto,” adapted from Bach’s Minuet from the Anna Magdalena Notebook, was a No. 1 hit in Western Pennsylvania and climbed all the way to number two on the national charts.
