Police Searching for Suspect After Chase

Cecil Township police are searching for a man who allegedly broke into a fenced-in area of an Allegheny Power substation in Southpointe on Sunday.

Police said a patrolman noticed that a white male was inside the substation property. When the man spotted police, he ran on foot into a wooded area nearby.

Peters, Canonsburg, North Strabane and state police in Washington all responded to the call, although the subject could not be located, according to Cecil police.

When police searched the Allegheny Substation after the pursuit, officers noted that a Lewis Tree Service truck had been pried open.

Damaged were immediately unknown.

Police are investigating.
