Canonsburg officials are reminding July 4 parade enthusiasts that by ordinance, no chairs are permitted to be placed on Pike until after midnight July 2.
The decision to restrict placement of the chairs to 48 hours prior to the holiday event was made by council after public safety concerns were raised last year.
And parade organizers note that when folks place there chairs along the parade route, they should refrain from making it look like "CSI Canonsburg" - asking them not to chain them together or use caution tape.
