Slots at Camp Splash in Canonsburg Filling Up Quickly

If you want to sign your child up, here's what you need to know.

There is swimming. There is playing. There are activities.

And if you're thinking of signing your child up for Canonsburg's popular summer program, Camp Splash, note that dates are filling up quickly!

Despite the persistant winter weather, borough Manager Terry Hazlett said that local kids are already thinking about summer—and Camp Splash.

The camp will open at Canonsburg's Town Park June 24 and Hazlett said that as of the end of March, three of the seven weeks are already near capacity.

Camp Director Susan Hazlett said opening week (June 24-28) and the weeks of July 8 and 15 are filling up quickly, with just a few slots available each of those weeks.

Camp Splash is a full-day experience that includes a breakfast snack, hot lunch, sports, crafts and three hours of swimming. It's held at the Main Pavilion in Town Park.

Now in its eighth year, the camp day begins at 8:15 a.m. and continues through 4:15 p.m. Campers must be at least 5 years of age. Camp registration is $150 per week—or less than $4 an hour for a full day of fun!

To register, visit the parks and recreation site, download the Camp Splash registration form and send it to Susan Hazlett, Camp Splash Director, 150 Malone Ridge Road, Washington, Pa. 15301. Checks should be made out to Canonsburg Borough or Camp Splash.
