Veteran Trainer, Driver, Injured During Meadows 'Training Mishap'

A veteran trainer and driver was injured Friday morning in a training mishap at The Meadows, a spokesman for the venue confirmed.

Rod Bolon, 54, was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital for observation and treatment.

His condition was unknown Friday afternoon.

Horsemen at the scene described him as conscious and alert following the incident, the spokesman said.

The Meadows will provide an updated story once more details are known, according to a statement.
