First Day of School + Four More Things Happening at CV

Back-to-School season is in full swing, and there are five important dates you might want to keep in mind before Chartiers Valley School District students hit the books.

• The first day of school for the Chartiers Valley School District is Thursday, Aug. 22.

• Sixth-grade orientation is Tuesday, Aug. 20 at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium. Seventh- and eighth-grade new student orientation is Tuesday, Aug. 20 at 3 p.m. in the LGI room.

• The Primary School ESL (English as a Second Language) Orientation for parents of new students will be held at the Primary School on Tuesday, Aug. 20 at 5:30 p.m. and on Wednesday, Aug. 21 at 10:30 a.m. Parents should attend only one session, as the information will be the same at both the Tuesday and Wednesday sessions.

• The Primary School Kindergarten parent-only orientation is from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Primary School.

• The Primary School Kindergarten Tea is Wednesday, Aug. 21 from 8:45 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at the Primary School.
