The Pittsburgh Day of Giving 2013is Thursday, Oct. 3, and donations from local people could help Chartiers Valley-area non-profit organizations.
Among the local non-profit organizations on the Day of Giving list are:
- Scott Township Public Library
- South Fayette Public Library
- Scott Conservancy, Inc.
The Day of Giving 2013 will be held from 12 a.m. until 11:59:59 p.m. on Oct. 3. The minimum gift is $25Â and all gifts will qualify for matching funds.

To donate:
- Log on to www.PittsburghGives.org on Thursday, Oct. 3.
- Click on "Day of Giving."
- Click on "Donate Now."
- Complete the donor form and choose an organization from the drop down menu.
- Enter your payment information and click "submit."
