A resident of Scott Township is the winner of Dormont VFD's largest annual fundraiser.

A Scott Township resident is the grand-prize winner of the Dormont Volunteer Fire Department car raffle, the department's largest annual fundraiser, and one that involves a great prize.
The grand-prize winner of the 2013 Dormont VFD car raffle is Scott resident Rich Porchiran, and he had the choice of taking either the car, or the $18,000 cash equivalent.
Porchiran was not available for comment at the time of this publication, but Dormont VFD Chief Jeff Arnold said Porchiran chose the cash equivalent.

Arnold said VFD members plan to meet Wednesday, July 10 to finalize the numbers from the department’s largest annual fundraiser.
“It was better than last year,” Arnold said. “There are no final numbers on it yet, but we’re meeting Wednesday to finalize all that. It definitely turned out to be better this year than last year. Our residential returns for ticket sales were a lot higher this year, which is a really good thing.”
