Wanted Man Found With 190 Bags of Heroin, Police Say
State police say a traffic stop led troopers to a drug bust, and a wanted fugitive.

It started with a state trooper noticing an erratic driver near the Turkey Hill outside of Easton.
But soon, that trooper had arrested a wanted Nazareth area man who was allegedly carrying 190 bags of heroin bearing the label "0 tolerance."
Curtis Phillips Jr., 24, whose last known address was in Plainfield Township, is charged with drug possession, possession with intent to deliver heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.Â

According to a press release, State Trooper Michael Kalinchock stopped a gray 2003 Nissan Maxima around 8 p.m. Wednesday for several traffic violations.Â
Court records say Kalinchock spotted Phillips stop at a stop sign at Morgan Hill Road near Line Street, and then rapidly accelerate.

Police say Phillips' Nissan began "weaving erratically," along Morgan Hill Road, and then made a lane change without signalling.
Kalinchock stopped Phillips on the eastbound side of Interstate 78. Police ran Phillips' registration, and saw the Northampton County Sheriff had a warrant for his arrest, and had labeled him "armed and dangerous."
Police took Phillips into custody. A search of his car allegedly found the heroin hidden in the armrest of the Maxima.
This is Phillips' second drug arrest in less than a year. Easton police arrested Phillips in June 2012 on a warrant for weapons and drug charges from a March drug bust in the city.
Phillips was arrested without incident Wednesday and committed to Northampton County Prison on the outstanding warrant.
Phillips was arraigned before District Judge Robert Hawek, and remains in Northampton County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.
