When it comes to household recycling, we need to get Back to Basics. Why? The recycling industry has changed significantly since our city began its recycling program, especially in the past few years. Quality is now more important than quantity.Because of how recycling facilities operate today, inappropriate and/or ineligible materials placed in recycling bins may result in significant expenses for the city, which can result in recyclables going into the landfill instead of being recycled. We need your help to reduce the contamination. It is preferred for residents to focus only on recycling clean plastics #1 and #2, aluminum cans, glass beverage bottles, and (dry) corrugated cardboard.See the flier from the City of Easton Department of Public Works for additional guidance on what to recycle.
