Easton Man Threatens to Cut Woman's Throat

David Ostrander charged with aggravated assault Thursday.

Easton police say a city man held a knife to a woman's neck and threatened to cut her throat early Thursday.

David Ostrander, 48, of the 700 block of Jackson Street was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and reckless endangerment.

According to court records, police were called to Ostrander's address around 12:19 a.m. Thursday by a woman who said he had threatened her with a knife.

Police say the woman—who lives with Ostrander—told the responding officer Ostrander had held a knife to her neck during an argument and threatened to slice her throat.

He was arraigned before on-duty District Judge John Capobianco in Nazareth, and sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $2,500 bail.
