Easton Police Arrest Allentown Man on Drug Charges

Police arrested an Allentown man on drug charges after a foot chase.

Easton Police arrested an Allentown man Wednesday after he jumped out of a car at a traffic stop, police said.

Police chased the man down on foot through the West Ward neighborhood and discovered he was carrying 10 packages of heroin, The Morning Call reported.

The man, identified as Kevin Williams, 24, was charged with resisting arrest and possession with intent to deliver the heroin, according to The Morning Call. He was transported to the Northampton County booking center for processing.

The traffic stop was conducted in the 1200 block of Ferry Street around 2:15 p.m.

Two men remained in the car from which Williams jumped. Alexander Lawson, 22, of Palmer Township, and Jim Timmer, 24, of Easton, will be charged in the mail with possession of drug paraphernalia, The Morning Call said.
