Lafayette Arts Building Gets Architecture Award

Spillman Farmer recognized by American Institute of Architects.

Bethlehem's Spillman Farmer Architects has received two awards from the American Institute of Architects, including one for its work on the Lafayette College Arts Plaza.

Spillman Farmer recently won the AIA's inauguaral Architectural Firm Award from the group's Pennsylvania chapter.  

This award "honors an architectural firm that has consistently demonstrated a commitment to design excellence and has made outstanding contributions to the profession of architecture for a period of at least 10 years," the firm said in a news release.

They were also recognized for their work on the $1.7 million, 7000 square foot Lafayette arts building, receiving a 2013 Citation of Merit Award.

Other projects that caught the AIA's attention include the ArtsQuest Center in Bethlehem and Easton's Sigal Museum. Spillman Farmer is also the architect working on Easton's new city hall.
