
Lafayette College standout Brian Keller has died from injuries sustained in a car crash, according to a message posted online by school President Alison Byerly.
Keller, 21, had been at Capital Health Regional Medical Center since Tuesday after a crash on Interstate-95 in Burlington County New Jersey, Lehigh Valley Live reports.
Keller was a mechanical engineering major and a tight end on the football team, according to his Lafayette athletic profile.

Byerly said that the loss of Keller would be deeply felt:
The outpouring of support over the last several days from friends, teammates, fellow student-athletes, coaches, faculty, staff, and other members of the Lafayette community is a testament to how greatly Brian will be missed.

We extend deepest condolences to Brian’s parents, Mark and Susan Keller, his brother, Alex, and his sisters, Amy and Emily. We will share information about services when it becomes available. A campus commemoration of Brian’s life will be held after students return for the fall semester.

Keller was from Somerdale, NJ, and had graduated from Triton Regional High School.
