NEW SMASHBURGER OPENS AT HAMILTON CROSSINGS

Local Owners Introduce “Better Burger” Concept to Lehigh County Residents

LEHIGH COUNTY, PA (Oct. 18, 2016) – Smashburger, the nation’s fastest growing “better burger” restaurant, brings its fresh approach to burgers to Hamilton Crossings, a new shopping center in Lower Macungie Township. This is the first Smashburger in Lehigh County.

“Hamilton Crossings is an outstanding location for Smashburger and we look forward to becoming part of the community,” said co-owner, Dan O’Shaughnessy. “If you have never tried one of our burgers, you are in for a treat. The smashing process is our difference-maker.”

O’Shaughnessy added that Smashburger also offers fresh salads, chicken sandwiches, black bean burgers, along with a menu of sides including Smash fries, onion rings, veggie frites and Häagen-Dazs® shakes.

“We hope local residents will come by our new restaurant to meet our team, try a Smashburger, and discover the flavor difference for themselves,” said O’Shaughnessy. “We are available to host fundraisers for local sports teams and community groups and look forward to supporting local events. In addition to the menu, the restaurant will feature the “Philly Smashburger” topped with grilled onions, Cheez Whiz and Gulden’s Mustard, served on a pretzel bun.

This is the 8th Smashburger owned by O’Shaughnessy and co-owners Kevin Murphy, Dan Hill and Gene Giordano. They also own Smashburger locations in New Jersey (Delran, Glassboro, Maple Shade and Marlton) as well as in Pennsylvania (Radnor, Malvern and Marple Crossroads). The local owners also will open a Smashburger in Brookhaven, Pa. in December 2016.

The new Smashburger is located in the Hamilton Crossings shopping center between the Route 222 Bypass and Hamilton Boulevard in Lower Macungie Township on North Krocks Road.
