Pretty EXCITING that a piece of a poem I wrote will be traveling around in 38 transit bus routes this fall. The note I got is below.
Dear Tom,
Congratulations! We are happy to accept your poem "[I mingle with the earth and fallen pine needles]" as part of Poetry In Transit 2017. Your poem will be circulated among the 38 Luzerne County bus routes starting in September of this year. We’ll be contacting you later this summer to view your finished placard, as it will look on the bus. We’ll also set a date for the Poetry In Transit launch at Barnes and Noble on the Square this August.

Please review the draft of your poem below. Let me know if your name, the lines, title, and city are correct. This is how they will appear on the buses. (Please no revisions to the poem though I know it's tempting.)
Thank you for submitting and being a part of the poetry community! Hope to see you in August at the launch.

"I mingle with earth and fallen pine needles
as if I am living from the basement of my days.
My insides reach toward the forest floor that has
been asleep for the winter. Traveling across
pieces of my life, I am more my me because of
where I have been - place has always shaped me."
