Locals add flavor at Red, White & Que Smokehouse, help support program to feed and employ veterans.

Hungry for great food after activities at Forks Township Community Park? Lafayette College students, looking for a break from cafeteria food? Ready to fill up after working out at Bounce U, Gymtime, Air Flex Fitness or Combative Arts Institute in the Park Plaza at Sullivan Trail Mall? Give Red, White & Que Smokehouse a try!

Guy Fieri, host of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, called the beef brisket “the best he ever had on the show” while filming a new Food Network episode.Thrillist.com said it’s the “Best BBQ in NJ.” NJ.com named it the state’s “Best BBQ Newcomer.” Perhaps most importantly, Easton resident James Barrett, who earned his barbeque credentials while stationed at the US Army’s Fort Hood in Texas and serves as general manager of the new Red, White & Que Smokehouse (RWQ) in Easton, said “our brisket stands up to the best in Texas.”

Staff member Michael Miller, a 10-year Easton resident, was excited to hear rave reviews of Red, White & Que from family and friends who live nearby. Staff member Mario Raccuglia, an Easton-area native, said he is thrilled to introduce people to “the real deal” while supporting veterans in need.

Now, you can make Red, White & Que your local place for authentic, Southern-style BBQ at their new Easton-area location in the Park Plaza at Sullivan Trail near Forks Township Community Park. The Easton-area Smokehouse, located in the space formerly occupied by Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, is RWQ’s first in Pennsylvania. The original Smokehouse is in Kearny, New Jersey; other NJ locations include Scotch Plains, Barnegat and Manahawkin at the Jersey shore and Little Egg Harbor.

The menu at RWQ is simple and honest, the way good southern BBQ should be, including quality meats that are smoked daily on site. From the Carolina Pulled Pork and the St. Louis Cut Ribs to the Texas-Style Brisket all the way to the homemade Mac and Cheese, each item is fresh and made in house by a friendly and passionate staff.

The unique homemade BBQ sauces have earned raves for their distinctive flavor combinations. The Instagram-worthy BBQ Sundae, smoked baked beans layered with pulled pork or another meat of your choice, topped with coleslaw, a pickle and a Tabasco-flavored jelly bean, has quickly earned cult status.

Owners Dan and Katie Misuraca, Edward Danberry and Ron DeLucia plan to open 20 new locations by the end of the first quarter of 2018. Expansion plans include not only Pennsylvania and New Jersey, but also California, New York and Ohio, with the goal of 55 locations in 3-5 years to meet the demand of “Que Fanatics” hungry for authentic, freshly prepared food and a warm welcome.

“We are living the American dream and look forward to welcoming people to our new Smokeshack in Easton,” noted Dan Misuraca. “After serving our country in the United States Marine Corp, we now get to serve family and friends and even give back to US military veterans through our Pay It Forward program,” he concluded.

Easton-area manager James Barrett, who served four years as an Army infantryman, including a tour in Afghanistan, noted that RWQ offers "Vet Meal" gift cards that customers can buy and then donate towards feeding veterans some American BBQ. Red, White and Que’s owners also partner with veterans organizations to contribute meals to veterans in need, including pig roasts where veterans eat free thanks to the generous donations of customers of “The Que.”
