Woman Used Stroller to Steal From Boscov's

Palmer Township Police say an Easton woman used a stroller to shoplift jewelry from the Palmer Park Mall Boscov's.

Virginia Santiago, 58, of the 1200 block of Butler St., was charged late Friday with retail theft.

According to police, a loss prevention detective at the store spotted Santiago putting jewelry into a stroller. When she was stopped, the detective allegedly found more items hidden under a jacket at the bottom of the stroller.

Santiago was arraigned before on-duty District Judge John Capobianco in Nazareth, and released after posting $5,000 bail.
