6 Things to Know: 7th Annual Emmaus Halloween 5K
The 2013 Halloween race begins just 30 minutes before the start of the Halloween Parade.
- Takes place on Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. at the corner of 9th and Chestnut streets before the Emmaus Halloween parade. Rain date is Oct. 20 at 5:30 p.m.
- Up to 20,000 spectators expected according to the race website.Â
- Cash prizes awarded for top runners and best costumes. Runners are encouraged to run in a costume. Costume prizes include best costume, fastest runners in a costume and best family costume.
- Register online through Oct. 16. at 9 p.m. Race day registration in the Emmaus High School parking lot between 5 and 6 p.m.Â
- Sponsored by and the National Penn Bank and the Emmaus Run Inn along with South Mountain Cycles, Wesley Works Entertainment & Photography, Wesley Works Real Estate, Inc, Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, Creamery On Main and Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom.
- Proceeds benefit the Emmaus Halloween Parade and the Emmaus parks system.
