A Great Time to go 'Parking'

It's Wednesday in East Penn School District and that means that the elementary school kids will be getting out of class at 1:30 p.m.

The weather is expected to feature sunny skies with a high temperature of 73 degrees, according to The National Weather Service forecast, so a trip to one of the many beautiful parks in and around Emmaus could certainly be in order -- whether you have kids in tow or not. 

Or, if you're the type who likes to curl up with a good "Nook" but hate paying the high retail prices for e-books, you could head over to the Emmaus Public Library for its E-reader Open House, which runs from 2 to 8 p.m., according to the library website. It sounds like the perfect opportunity to connect with the librarians who can tell you how to connect your device to the library's electronic offerings.
