Celebrate Halloween in Emmaus

It may seem like we took that last plunge into Emmaus Community Pool just yesterday, but believe it or not, ghouls, goblins and costumed creatures that run 5K races will be out and about in Emmaus on Saturday night.

According to race organizers, more than 20,000 spectators are expected to come out and support the 7th Annual Emmaus Halloween 5K. The race is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Saturday, with runners getting started at the corner of 9th and Chestnut streets right before the Emmaus Halloween parade. Rain date is Oct. 20 at 5:30 p.m.

The 2013 Emmaus Halloween Parade is set for Saturday, Oct. 19 at 7:30 p.m., according to the borough website. The rain date is Sunday, Oct. 20, at 6:30 p.m.
