Emmaus Family Featured in TV Pilot

Allison Conklin and her family won a home makeover from the new home improvement show "Roger That!"

Allison Conklin's story is the stuff of T.V. shows - literally.

A mother of two who lives in Emmaus, Conklin underwent emergency surgery in the fall of 2012 when a brain tumor pushing on her optic nerve left her blind. After a six-hour operation and a three-day recovery, Conklin’s vision returned.

Months later, Conklin’s husband, Geoff, nominated her through Facebook to receive a home makeover sponsored by CertaPro Painters and Roger Hazard, TV’s original home stager and designer, known for his work on the Emmy-nominated show "Sell This House" on A&E.

Geoff's entry won his wife that makeover and over four days in May 2013, Conklin’s home was transformed while she was away in Mexico with her husband. And, that makeover was turned into the debut episode of Hazard's new web-based home improvement show, "Roger That!"

The Conklin episode of "Roger That!" premiered earlier this month, but can still be seen online via that show's website.
