How Cold Will it Get in the Lehigh Valley?
The National Weather Service reports an "arctic outbreak" is likely this weekend.

As we approach Presidents Day Weekend, sub-zero temperatures are expected to roll through the Lehigh Valley and the rest of the region.
Eastern Pennsylvania can expect some of the coldest temperatures in more than a decade beginning Friday and last through Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
The National Weather Service issued three separate weather alerts for the region, saying a high wind watch is in effect from late Saturday night through Sunday afternoon. The NWS said a “harsh arctic outbreak is likely this holiday weekend.”

The NWS forecasts wind chills could likely reach between 10 and 25 below zero over the weekend, with wind chills reaching as low as minus 15 on Sunday morning.

- Friday: High of 19, low of 12
- Saturday: High of 33, low of 11
- Sunday: High of 14, low of minus 3
- Monday: High of 20, low of 4
Additional weather conditions from the National Weather Service include:
- Winds of 20-30 mph and gusts up to 55 mph, with the highest winds occurring late Saturday night into Sunday morning.
- Wind chill values may fall to 10 to 25 below zero on Sunday and Monday mornings.
- Three to five inches of snow is expected Saturday afternoon and into Saturday night. A burst of one to two inches of snow within an hour is possible around dinner time Saturday.
