All it took was a little push from her sister to get Jennifer Elston to launch her Emmaus-based handmade scarf business, KnottedKnot.

When and how did your business get started?
I began KnottedKnot in January 2013. It all started with my sister! I made her some scarves in December 2012 to give as gifts, and she told people I sold scarves from a shop. I had to make a shop--and KnottedKnot was born!
Why did you choose the town you did to open your business?
I live in Emmaus with my family. I love Emmaus and everything it has to offer.
What is your business best known for?
KnottedKnot is a place where you can purchase beautiful handmade scarves and other knitted goods.Â
What's something interesting about your business your customers might not know?
I am still learning new knitting techniques everyday!Â

I offer free shipping to local folks and discounts when asked.
