Labor Day: What's Open and Closed?
Labor Day is a celebration of workers. Many locations are closed in order to observe the day.
Monday is Labor Day. It is a federal holiday.
What's Closed:
- East Penn School District Administrative Offices and schools
- Government offices, including Emmaus Borough Hall and the Upper Milford Township Building
- Most banks, but they have the option to remain open.
- All U.S. post offices with no mail delivery
- Lehigh County offices and courts
- All Commonwealth of Pennsylvania courts and state offices
- All federal courts and offices
- All PennDOT Driver License and Photo License Centers statewide
- The stock and bond markets

- The Emmaus Community Pool is open for one last day - from Noon to 5 p.m. on Monday
