Leo F. Kressley, 102, Owner of Kressley's Cree-mee Freez

Leo F. Kressley, 102, formerly of Emmaus, died on Oct. 5, 2013.

Leo F. Kressley, 102 years, of Macungie formerly of Emmaus, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at Lehigh Center. He was the husband of the late Wilma M. (Holben) Kressley.  Born in New Tripoli, he was a son of the late Elmer F. and Ida (Werley) Kressley.

He and his wife were owners of Kressley’s Cree-mee Freez in Shimersville for 17 years retiring in 1974. Leo was a farmer for many years and worked for the former Lehigh Portland Cement Co. in Fogelsville, the New Tripoli Phone Co. as a linesman, drove school students in the current Northwestern Lehigh School District and raised and sold fish. He was a member of the Grundsow Lodge in Emmaus. Leo was a member of Weisenberg Lutheran Church in New Tripoli where he served on Church Council for many years.  

Survivors:
  Daughter, Elaine wife of Frederick Ritter of Allentown; Son, Neil and wife Helen of Emmaus; Sisters, Althea Dengler and Lillian Gressley both of New Tripoli; Grandsons, Michael, Terry and Randy Ritter and Jeffery Kressley; and 8 Great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by Brothers, Ralph, Clyde and Raymond Kressley and Sister Mabel Bittner.  

Services:
  11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 11 at Weisenberg Lutheran Church, 7645 Weisenberg Church Rd., New Tripoli.  Interment Church cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Keller Funeral Homes, Inc., 1018 Church St., Fogelsville.
