WEATHER ALERT: Snow, Freezing Rain to Impact Evening Commute

Slippery and snowy conditions this morning will be followed by more hazardous driving conditions on this evening's commute.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the region, including Lehigh and Northampton counties, making for a slippery evening commute.

More freezing rain, sleet and snow will likely make for a hazardous commute later today. The NWS said there is a possibility for up to an inch or two of new snow between 3 p.m. and midnight and trace amounts of ice. The freezing rain and sleet are forecasted to change gradually into flurries by midnight.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is urging all motorists to drive with caution on Monday.
