Fatal SUV Accident in West Mifflin

One person was killed and five others injured in a car crash in West Mifflin.

A West Mifflin woman was killed in a car accident involving two sport utility vehicles on Tuesday, authorities said.

Treina Ramsey, 54, of West Mifflin, was pronounced dead at Jefferson Hospital about an hour after the accident, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. The accident occurred around 6:15 p.m. on New England Road, between Route 837 and Camp Hollow Road, near the Valley Hotel, TribLive.com said.

Five other people were injured in the two-vehicle crash and were taken to UPMC Mercy, UPMC Prespyterian, Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and Jefferson Hospital, the Tribune-Review said.

Authorities said the road conditions were wet at the time of the accident.

The road was blocked off at the scene of the crash for several hours.
