A Forest Hills native has won a grant to conduct research in Chile.
Deborah A. Westin has been awarded a Fulbright Scholar grant to Lecture at The University of Chile Santiago in Santiago, Chile during the 2013-2014 academic year.
Westin is a graduate of Churchill High School. She is an instructor at the University of Richmond School of Professional and Continuing Studies. Westin will develop faculty competencies in the Teaching and Learning Department. She is one of about 1,100 U.S. faculty and professionals who will travel abroad through the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program in 2013-2014. Â
The Fulbright Program is an international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government. Recipients of Fulbright grants are selected on the basis of academic or professional achievement, as well as demonstrated leadership potential in their fields. The Program operates in more than 155 countries worldwide.
