Leadership at Jewish Family and Children's Service of Pittsburgh honored with professional awards
Professional awards given to leadership of Jewish Family and Children's Service of Pittsburgh
International Association of Jewish Vocational Agencies (IAJVS) recently recognized Aryeh Sherman, President & CEO of Jewish Family & Children’s Service of Pittsburgh (JF&CS) and Linda Ehrenreich, Chief Innovation Officer at JF&CS, for professional achievement and leadership.
Aryeh Sherman, MSW, President & CEO of JF&CS was honored with the Bernie Rosenthal Executive Directors Award. Established in 1997, this award honors an outstanding executive who demonstrates vision, leadership, compassion and perseverance. Under Sherman’s leadership at JF&CS, he has worked to build a diverse, productive workforce, to eliminate food insecurity in Pittsburgh’s Squirrel Hill neighborhood, to reduce nursing home admissions by providing services and resources to help the elderly remain in their homes and to provide a safety net for the community’s most vulnerable individuals and families.
Linda Ehrenreich, Chief Innovation Officer at JF&CS was honored with the 2015 Benjamin S. Lowenstein Outstanding Professional Award, which honors an outstanding individual in the IAJVS network who has exhibited an exceptional commitment to the field. Ehrenreich was chosen to be honored for her exceptional commitment to the field of workforce development and career services through JF&CS’s Career Development Center.
