Local Authors To Read at Pittsburgh's Big Sci Fi Conference
Events, Local Authors, Writing, Conferences, August, Science Fiction

Forest Hills-based award-winning author Wendelin Gray will be appearing at the long-running Pittsburgh science fiction and fantasy conference, Confluence, next month on August 4-6th at the Airport Sheraton. Founded in 1988, the event will feature a long list of accomplished, award-winning authors who will be speaking on a range of related genre topics, as well as music, costuming, book signings, author meet and greet, and book readings.
Wendelin Gray will be collaborating with two local authors on Saturday, August 5th: first, she will be holding a noon kaffeeklatch/author meet and greet with Larry Ivkovich discussing the topic “Asian and European Fantasy Worlds.” Larry has been working on his Japanese-inspired urban fantasy series, The Spirit Winds Quartet. You can read about Larry’s books at his website:

Later that day at 6PM, Gray will be holding a joint book reading with award-winning Seton Hill creative writing instructor/horror author Michael Arnzen. Michael has won the Bram Stoker Award four times, so his reading should be really creepy. He writes at these sites:
