PennDOT Hosting Public Meetings for Impending Parkway West Construction
The Pennsylvania DOT and its contractor will be holding two public meetings providing information on upcoming construction projects.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will be hosting two public meetings next week to provide information on upcoming construction projects.
PennDOT District 11 and members of the contracting company, Swank Construction Company, LLC, will provide information about traffic restrictions, detour routes and scheduling, and project details, PennDOT said in a news release.
The first of two meetings will be at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, at the Green Tree Borough Building, located at 10 West Manilla Ave. in Pittsburgh. The second meeting will be at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12, at the Carnegie Borough Building, located at 1 Veterans Way in Carnegie.

The I-376 Parkway West Improvement Project began last year and is expected to continue through the remainder of 2015, the DOT said.
The project includes milling and resurfacing of I-376 between I-79 and the Fort Pitt Tunnel. Additionally, PennDOT said the improvement project calls for bridge preservation and rehabilitation, drainage improvements, guide rail upgrades, signing and pavement marking, concrete median barrier replacement and sign structure rehabilitation.
