Shooting in Wilkinsburg: One Arrested, One Injured

At roughly 4:37 pm yesterday afternoon, the Wilkinsburg Police were dispatched to the 800 block of North Avenue in response to a shooting incident. There they found a 27 year old black male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local area hospital where he was in stable condition.

The first responding officers also encountered friend of the victim who had been firing a gun at the assailants. That man was 22 year old Josiah Battle-Davis. He was arrested on scene and will be lodged at the Allegheny County Jail to await arraignment on charges of weapons and drug violations.

At this point in the investigation there is no description of the actor(s) and the motive is not clear.
