State Trooper Killed During Training Exercise

Multiple media outlets report that a Pennsylvania state trooper has died from an accidental shooting while training at a facility in Plymouth Township.

According to philly.com, David Kedra, 26, of Pottstown, was shot Wednesday afternoon during an exercise at the Montgomery County Public Safety Training Campus on Conshohocken Road in Plymouth. Kedra was airlifted to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead Wednesday night.

Police remained at the indoor shooting range investigating the incident. Kedra is the 96th trooper to be killed in the line of duty, and his death comes just weeks after the ambush and killing of State Trooper Cpl. Bryan Dickson and wounding of Trooper ALex Douglass. The manhunt for suspect Eric Frein has entered the 18th day.
