Surveillance Video of Ross Shooting Released

Video of an attempted robbery-turned-shooting at a Ross Township music store has been released.

Police have released surveillance footage of a shooting at a Ross Township music store in hopes of someone identifying the gunman.

Police said 23-year-old Mike Allen was working at The Exchange music store in Ross when someone walked in and demanded money, according to WPXI-Pittsburgh. While Allen was trying to get the cash register open, the gunman became impatient and shot him in the trunk, WTAE-Pittsburgh reported.

After firing one shot and hitting Allen, the gunman fled the store and ran up McKnight Road, according to WPXI. The Exchange is not far from the Ross Park Mall in Ross Township.

Allen was conscious and alert when taken to a hospital Tuesday night, police said. He remains in the hospital with a bullet in his spine, WPXI reports.
