Upcoming Conference Celebrates Local Speculative Fiction Writers
Confluence Holds It's 30th Anniversary Conference in Late July

Local author Wendelin Gray joins an array of local and nationally known authors for the 30th annual speculative fiction writers’ conference, Confluence, which runs from July 27th through July 29th, 2018, at the Sheraton Pittsburgh Airport Hotel.

The weekend will be packed with musical and literary events for the whole family, and among the highlights will be a Saturday night joint book launch for Wendelin Gray’s new novel Sohyeon After Midnight and Coraopolis-based author Larry Ivkovich’s new novel Magus Star Rising.

Wendelin and Larry will also be participating in book signings, separate book readings, and panel discussions as well as selling their books in the dealer room. In other presentations, Larry will be discussing rock and roll and science fiction, and Wendelin will be reading selections from an older novel, The Vulpecula Cycle.
The guests of honor at the conference include New York Times Bestselling author Cathrynne M. Valente, who has won numerous prestigious awards, and singer-songwriter SJ Tucker who has created works based on her writings.
