Woodland Hills School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Woodland Hills is August 31. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Woodland Hills School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 8/24 - 8/25: In-Service Days (8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.)

• 8/29: In-Service/Opening Day (8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.)
• 8/30: Clerical Day, Kindergarten Orientation
• 8/31: First Day for Students

September

• 9/4: No School (Labor Day)
• 9/26: Academy/Edgewood/Wilkins Open House (6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.)
• 9/27: Jr./Sr. High School/Rankin Open House (6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.)
• 9/28: Intermediate Open House (6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.)
• 9/29: No School for Students (Clerical Day)

October

• 10/9: No School for Students (In-Service Day 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.)

November

• 11/9: No School for Students (Parent/Teacher Conference - Act 80 Day)
