Chesterbrook Academy Celebrates Earth Day with Butterfly Release

Lancaster students celebrated Earth Day by releasing 15 butterflies in their schoolyard to help local vegetation

Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool on North Pointe Boulevard in Lancaster recently celebrated Earth Day with a butterfly release. In honor of Earth Day and the importance of taking care of the planet, students released 15 butterflies throughout their schoolyard and back into the environment on plants, flowers and trees. Leading up to Earth Day, students observed caterpillars, their cocoon development and transformation into butterflies. Chesterbrook Academy teaches the importance of community and exploring nature at an early age.
