HARRISBURG, PA -- The nation is about to celebrate its 241st birthday, and it's time to watch the glorious explosions we know as fireworks. Events in the Harrisburg area range from simple fireworks shows to day-long extravaganzas.

• Koons Park, North Mountain Road. Fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
