Allentown Woman Dies After Murder-Suicide Attempt
Elderly woman dies almost one week after attempted murder-suicide in Allentown.

A 92-year-old woman who survived a murder-suicide attempt after being shot almost one week ago succumbed to her wounds on Thursday.
On Nov. 21, Izak Waide phoned his son to tell him he was tired of seeing his wife, Malka Waide, suffer from Alzheimer’s and he was going to his wife and then himself, according to The Morning Call. Izak Waide, 92, shot Malka Waide in the head and then turned the gun on himself. Malka Waide, however, survived the attempted murder-suicide and was being treated at a local hospital.
Malka Waide died from her injuries on Thursday, according to Allentown police.

Neighbors said that Malka Waide had been increasingly suffering from Alzheimer’s recently and knew her health was deteriorating because she and her husband stopped going on walks together, The Morning Call reports.
