Burglary Suspect Allegedly says He Was Motivated by Need to Buy Christmas Presents

Lower Saucon burglar allegedly said he resorted to break-ins to meet rent and make money for Christmas.

A 22-year-old Lower Saucon man and his 20-year-old girlfriend have been charged in a November burglary.

The two burglary suspects, Triston Loux-Schafer, of the 2300 block of Ringhoffer Road, and Allie Rayna Scheetz, of the 1400 block of New Jersey Avenue in Hellertown, allegedly broke into a home in the 2100 block of Green Pine Lane on Nov. 26, according to The Express-Times. The owners of the home reported the theft to police after noticing about $4,600 worth of computer and musical equipment had gone missing.

The Express-Times reports that the owner of the stolen items saw some of them for sale on eBay, an online auction website. Police used the seller’s listed address to find Loux-Schafer. The suspect allegedly told police the burglary was motivated by his need to pay his delinquent rent and bills and to purchase Christmas gifts, according to The Express-Times.
