My first encounter with Dapper Dan was as a freelance photographer for an area news group that assigned me to photograph his "arrest" at his apartment in Forks Township for an upcoming newspaper article . The Lehigh Valley Multiple Sclerosis Society sent a limo whose driver served as the "arresting officer". Dapper was served a warrant, lead from his apartment and driven to an undisclosed location where he would be confined until enough "bail money" would be raised to free him. Approximately $1,200.00 was raised to "free" Dapper Dan. This was just one of many charitable activities in which Dapper Dan participated.
It was a pleasure to have met and photographed many other activities where Dan and his wife Wilma performed.
