Hellertown Resident Graduates from Alvernia U.

Cynthia L. Micklus of Hellertown has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude in criminal justice from Alvernia University, according to a news release.

Micklus studied at the university's Schuylkill Center, the release said.

Alvernia's graduation ceremonies were held Dec. 15 and included a Baccalaureate Mass and Commencement in the Physical Education Center on the school's Main Campus in Reading.

Commencement speaker Samuel A. McCullough received an honorary degree of humane letters before addressing students.
