According to court documents, Anairis Sullivan-Reyes, 21, admitted to detectives that she inflicted severe injuries on her son between March 2014 and the time he was hospitalized on Saturday, according to WFMZ-TV.
The boy also had lacerations and marks on his body suggesting he had been tied up for long periods of time, according to the police. It was also apparent that the boy had been starved, as he was severely underweight, detectives said.
