Victim of Lower Saucon House Fire Identified

A fatal house fire left one dead after tearing through a Lower Saucon home late Monday night.

The victim of a Monday night house fire in Lower Saucon Township has been identified by the Northampton County coroner.

The victim was the owner of the home, Rodney Stine, 77, The Express-Times reported. The fire occurred shortly before 11 p.m. at a home in the 1400 block of East University Avenue, according to The Express-Times. The fire was extinguished by 4:30 a.m.

The cause of Stine’s death will not be released before the conclusion of the investigation, The Express-Times said.

Lower Saucon Township police and fire department are investigating the house fire in conjunction with the Pennsylvania State Police fire marshal.
